Gwyn Lewis 4x4 SUMOBARS, these are made in the UK not cheaper imports. These steering bars are our STAINLESS STEEL ones. (SUMO-SS) they are 30mm solid 303 Stainless Steel bar, these bars are. The strongest bar in the sumobars range. As stainless offers a much greater strength, it is 1.5 times stronger than steel, these bars can be used from on road to extreme off road use. When fitting the SUMO LOCK NUTS onto the track rod ends use plenty of grease on the threads, this will prevent the nuts seizing onto the track rod ends, (cold welding) or (Galling) this is common with stainless steel fixings, but use plenty of grease will prevent the problem from happening, we use the MORRIS K48 grease.

To fit a Land Rover that i can find, they are fully greaseable, the thread on the taper end is 1/2 inch UNF, most others are 12mm, the undercut on the end of the thread nearest the taper is 12mm, most others are 9.5mm, they also come with a nylock nut on this end, on the end of the main thread nearest the ball joint the thread does not go to the end, this gives more strength to the main body, inside the joint there is also a larger than standard nylon socket to cup the ball, this will help withstand impacts off road and reduce wear in the joint, (see picture above).
